Our wonderful 9th Anniversary Party on January 9th was a big success!
We had 15 fabulous sponsors that help to fund this wonderful event and 66 attendees! It was packed at the Capital Grille in Chevy Chase with good food and great people. I don’t even think I got to say hello and welcome to everyone that came, but I did try.
Our sponsors not only gave their financial support to the event but many of them brought wonderful give-aways for our raffle event. We had a 50/50 Raffle with the proceeds going to the Friends of Guest House, a wonderful Non-profit organization that supports women coming out of incarceration. We collected $640, $320 of which went to Friends of Guest House and the other half going to our big winner of the night, local Virginia based therapist, Lisa Maestri.
I am so proud of what this group does for the National Community. I am grateful for all of our members that help and support each other with good resources for their clients and patients.
I want to say a special “Thank you” also to Shannon Harris and Shayna Daghigh for the team approach to party planning. This even did not happen in a vacuum, it happened because the three of us worked together and we had a lot of fun doing it too!
